THE Queensland senator who lost $150,000 in a failed business deal with his neighbour has unleashed a tirade against him under cover of parliamentary privilege.
Liberal Senator Brett Mason used Parliament last night to call former bankrupt Patrick Wilson a "sociopathic conman" and "disgrace" after convincing investors to plunge money into the natural medicines company New Zeal.
The company, which promised medication including a breakthrough natural ADHD drug, failed to produce any products and has left shareholders hundreds of thousands of dollars out of pocket.
Senator Mason said he was speaking up about Mr Wilson as a "cautionary tale" for other investors.
